Slovenian translation services which help you succeed
Letters and contracts. Brochures and guides. Manuals. Articles and novels. E-learning materials. There isn’t much that our translation services don’t localise for our London and global clients.
No matter your subject matter, we pair you with a linguist who is a specialist in that field. For example, if you are in healthcare, your Slovenian translator might have the qualifications to be a practicing nurse or doctor. If you are in finance, they could have qualifications or long experience in your industry.
Our goal is always to ensure that your Slovenian translation is being handled by someone who knows almost as much about your field or industry as you do.
It’s the reason why we’ve been recognised as meeting the critical ISO:9001 and ISO:17100 quality standards in everything we do. And the reason you are in safe hands when you use Kwintessential.

About the Slovenian language
Slovenian is one of the 23 official and working languages of the European Union. It is mutually intelligible with Croatian, Serbian, and Bosnian.
Slovenian is spoken by approximately 2.5 million people, primarily in Slovenia but also in Italy, Austria, Hungary, Romania, Serbia, and Croatia. The language belongs to the South Slavic language group and is written in Latin. It has two main dialects, Prekmurje Slovene and Carinthian Slovene. The official alphabet of Slovenian consists of 25 letters. It is an Indo-European language with many similarities to Czech, Slovak, Polish, and Sorbian languages—the oldest written form of Slovenian dates back to the 16th century.
The language has developed, with many loanwords from other European languages, such as German, Latin, and Italian. Some dialects have been influenced by Hungarian and Turkish speakers living in parts of Slovenia.
Slovenian is a highly inflected language with seven cases and a rich vocabulary. The syntax is based on subject-verb-object order, and the verb typically comes at the end of sentences or clauses. Additionally, many words in Slovenian have multiple meanings depending on the context they are used in. Slovenian also has its unique set of numerals different from other Slavic languages.
Finally, Slovenian has a similar phonology to other Slavic languages and uses nasal vowels and fricatives. It is an interesting language with many unique features that make it distinct from other European languages.
