Their Translation Challenge

Reed Exhibitions came to Kwintessential looking for localisation help for a website for their All Energy 2014 Conference. Taking place in Canada, part of the requirement was to translate their online “exhibitor portal” into Canadian French. On top of this, they also needed to test the user experience, once the translated text had been uploaded to the site, to ensure that the portal was 100% user friendly.


Our Translation Solution

We worked together with Reed Exhibitions to develop a bespoke “user experience” test. This involved designing a matrix of instructions and tasks for our testers which was aimed at ensuring each area of the portal worked correctly and was optimised in terms of being easy to use and navigate.

Our testers provided in-depth feedback to Reed Exhibitions, allowed changes to be adopted and the site to be launched with confidence.
