Apps – Language and Culture in your Pocket

compare cultures iphone appWe love what we do and are passionate about our know-how being used by others. Our website is bursting to the seams with free articles, news, tools, gadgets and quizzes. We plan to keep it that way. On top of all this we are also working hard to produce useful Apps on the various topics we cover.

At present we have two Apps released for the iPhone. Don’t worry though, this is just the start. Both the Apps we presently have will be updated so Android and Smart Phone users can download them, plus we have plans in place for more Apps over the coming years that will look at a range of topics from cultural differences to translation to phrases.

If you can think of any App you would find useful, why not let us know? If it’s a good idea, we’ll build it!

Compare Cultures App

This neat little App takes research by intercultural academic, Professor Hofstede, and uses it to illustrate cultural differences between countries. A very visual tool, it helps you understand how you may need to adapt behaviours depending on what country you are working in or with. Simply choose two countries and a graph does the rest in guiding you through the cultural minefields.
