Transnational Cultural Training

Building the Transnational Team: A Meeting of European Cultures

Organizational structures in modern business often require staff and managers to work across cross cultural lines. With offices and personnel in differing countries it is important to ensure that a strong company culture exists to ensure that cross cultural differences do not impact upon business performance.

Building the Transnational Team is a superbly enjoyable dramatization that introduces the idea of building strong teams across intercultural lines. Through observing the interaction between managers from five cultures, trainees are presented with an excellent means of visualizing many of the common areas of cultural misunderstandings that can occur in transnational teams and the impact they can have on business. Using the example of "culture clash" between the managers from France, Germany, Spain, the UK and the USA intercultural trainers or HR staff can examine issues such as formality, management, communication styles, meetings, relationships and much more.

The training DVD comes equipped with a trainer's guide, exercises and discussion questions to help the facilitation of the intercultural training session. The title can be used for cross cultural team building training or as a stand alone tool to introduce the subject of intercultural differences and to generate discussion.
