Hostelling International USA's IOU Respect: Building A Culture of Peace

In the summer of 2006, 22 young people from Germany, Morocco, Tunisia and the United States came together for 14 days at Hostelling International's New York Hostel. Their purpose was to explore, debate, and live the principles of intercultural education, respect, tolerance and understanding as a foundation for building a culture of peace. It was an intensive experience of living, sharing and learning together in an effort to bridge cultural divides.
